Hann-Ocean participated in the Ocean Energy Europe Conference and Exhibition at Dublin between 30 September and 02 October 2019.

Henry Han, Managing Director of Hann-Ocean Energy as an invited wave developer from Asia, presented the latest developments in Drakoo technology as well as the company’s projects in pipeline, in the Wave Energy Technology Showcase session. A live demonstration of the 15kWp Drakoo WEC performance in the Hann-Ocean’s wave tank streamed directly from the company’s facility in Nantong, China garnered praise from members of the audience and the organizing committee of OEE 2019.

The conference also included social events and workshops conducted by IRENA where Henry Han’s contributions to the topics of discussion were well received. These social events provided an opportunity for Hann-Ocean to interact with other wave developers like AW Energy as well as potential partners, end-users from islands in the Pacific Ocean and associates in the industry.

In all, OEE 2019 proved fruitful to Hann-Ocean by increasing the company’s visibility among peers and key stakeholders in Europe, which has one of the most active wave energy communities in the world. The company looks forward to returning next year with more updates on Drakoo WEC’s development.
