On February 6th, 2020, the Drakoo-B0015 Wave Energy Converter (WEC) Full-Scale Wave Flume Test Report was approved by DNV-GL, a world-leading certification society in the marine industry, after one and a half years of rigorous review.The maximum overall conversion efficiency from wave to electricity of the 15kW Drakoo WEC has been validated to be 29% in a real wind-wave environment (up to Tz 8s and Hw 0.9m).

Hann-Ocean participated in the Ocean Energy Europe Conference and Exhibition at Dublin between 30 September and 02 October 2019.

Following the success of the OEE Conference in Dublin, Hann-Ocean will participate in the 2019 China Marine Economy Expo (CMEE) from 14th October to 17th October in Shenzhen, China.

The European Ocean Energy Conference (OEE) will be held in Dublin, Ireland, from 29 September to 2 October 2019. Ocean Energy Europe is the largest network of ocean energy professionals in the world. Over 120 organizations, including Europe’s leading utilities, industrialists and research institutes, trust OEE to represent the interests of Europe’s ocean energy sector.

Hann-Ocean Energy participated in the 4th National Ocean Technology Conference & the OceanTech International Symposium at the Zhoushan Campus of Zhejiang University, between May 16 and May 18 2019, where Mr. Han Lei, the managing director, made a presentation titled, “A Systematic Approach for Performing Wave Energy Study”.

As part of the endorsement process with DNV-GL, Hann-Ocean will be measuring “pure” wave profiles generated in the “Hann-Ocean 01” wave tank, with the existing Drakoo-B0015 WEC removed from within. To that end, the team at Hann-Ocean Energy and Technology, Nantong (HOENT) prepared a detailed lifting plan and executed the complex operation well in advance of the original schedule.
