In 2024, Hann-Ocean Group achieved remarkable progress in renewable energy and offshore engineering, reinforcing its position as an industry innovator.

On April 12th, Hann-Ocean Technology signed a contract with Walden International to design and construct a 1,200-ton floating jetty on Lindeman Island, Australia.

On July 8th, Hann-Ocean completed its Shengsi Island wave energy project after two and a half years of sea trials, showcasing the stability and performance of the Drakoo 15kW wave energy generator.

In August, Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry visited Hann-Ocean's R&D base in Nantong to discuss plans for China-Singapore cooperation. Later that month, Mr Henry Han, the managing director of Hann-Ocean, spoke at the Renewable Energy Conference in Xi'an on optimizing the life-cycle cost of Drakoo technology for shallow waters.

In September, Mr Han presented research on optimizing the Drakoo-I wave energy converter for shallow water deployment in Ghana at the International Conference on Ocean Energy in Australia. He also visited floating pontoons with Hann-Ocean's client Polaris Marine Group in Darwin after a three-year service of the pontoons in waters, receiving a remarkable appraisal from the client.

From October 15th to 18th, Hann-Ocean showcased RigiFloat technology at the International Mining Conference in Tianjin, emphasizing its modular design and strength. Discussions followed with DL E&C and CRRC New Energy on floating platforms and offshore energy projects.

In November, Hann-Ocean participated in the Sustainability Environment Asia Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, presenting both RigiFloat and Drakoo technologies.

In December, Hann-Ocean joined the World Conference on Floating Solutions in Hong Kong, presenting research on hydrodynamic testing in shallow waters. Visits to Zhuhai’s wave power and aquaculture platforms followed, along with Mr Han's session at SCUT, sharing insights on wave energy applications for aquaculture.
