Day 1: Selected for the “New Products & Technologies Showcase” — Live Demonstration Attracted Crowds

On October 28, Hann-Ocean Energy Technology made a high-profile debut at the CMEE’s clean-energy pavilion.

Its Drakoo wave energy system and RigiFloat modular floating platform were selected for the New Products & Technologies Showcase, highlighting the company’s R&D excellence.

A live miniature wave tank was built at Hann-Ocean’s booth, where the Drakoo device converted wave motion into electricity to power LED lights.

The demonstration provided visitors with a vivid understanding of how wave energy is transformed into usable power and underscored the company’s strength in both scientific innovation and public engagement.

Meanwhile, the RigiFloat platform — composed of standardized float modules with quick-lock connectors — impressed marine-engineering professionals for its versatility in ports, offshore construction, and renewable-energy infrastructure.

That same day, Director Sun of the National Oceanic Administration chaired a closed-door roundtable with over 40 marine-industry leaders.

Hann-Ocean Energy Technology’s General Manager Mr. Han Lei was invited to deliver a speech on advancing ocean-energy innovation and international collaboration, earning positive feedback from attending experts.

Day 2: Media Spotlight and Research Collaboration

On October 29, Hann-Ocean’s booth continued to attract strong interest.

During an official media interview, General Manager Han Lei introduced the core technology behind the Drakoo system — a dual-chamber oscillating-water-column design capable of efficiently harnessing 0.1–2 m waves with a conversion efficiency of 30–36%, verified by DNV and other international authorities.

Han Lei emphasized that Hann-Ocean follows a “technology maturity and engineering feasibility” development model, ensuring that every innovation leads to practical clean-energy solutions.

During the expo, the Hann-Ocean team also visited the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Gersun Technology Co., Ltd.Discussions focused on integrating wave-power systems into offshore aquaculture platforms.

Both sides agreed to start with a first-unit demonstration project to showcase the commercial potential of wave energy for ocean farming and marine research platforms.

That same day, representatives from the Zhejiang Electric Power Design Institute, including Market Development Manager Li Guangjie and Marine Engineering Director Guo Kaikai, visited Hann-Ocean’s booth to explore opportunities for combining wave energy with offshore wind power in hybrid renewable-energy systems.

Day 3: Industry Leaders Visit — Expanding Cooperation Across the Marine Sector

On October 30, the closing day of CMEE, Hann-Ocean’s booth remained a highlight of the clean-energy exhibition.

Multiple research institutes and corporate representatives visited to discuss practical collaboration opportunities.

A delegation from Shenzhen Haiyi Petroleum Technology Co., Ltd., a company specializing in autonomous-surface-vessel navigation systems, expressed interest in applying Drakoo’s wave-energy technology to power offshore relay platforms for unmanned vessels, enabling longer and greener missions at sea.

Mr. Cheng Wei, General Manager of Shenzhen Zongheng UAV Technology Co., Ltd., also visited Hann-Ocean’s booth to learn about the integrated application of the RigiFloat modular platform and the Drakoo wave-energy technology. Both sides discussed a potential collaboration to utilize Hann-Ocean’s RigiFloat platform and Drakoo wave-energy generator to provide offshore takeoff-and-landing platforms and energy supply solutions for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) stations.

Dr. Zhi Yuanzhe of China Construction Port & Harbor Bureau Group and the China Construction Marine Engineering Institute showed strong interest in Hann-Ocean’s large-scale “Hann-Ocean 1” deep-water wave basin and its wave-power systems. He noted that Hann-Ocean’s experience in wave-energy testing and modular platform engineering could provide valuable support for joint research and pilot projects.

At the same time, Mr. Pan Xilu, General Manager of CIMC Jiguang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., met with Han Lei to discuss potential collaboration on using Hann-Ocean’s RigiFloat modular platform together with Drakoo wave-energy technology to build power-generating floating breakwaters around offshore photovoltaic farms.

Both sides agreed that this dual-function design — combining energy production and protection — represents a forward-looking solution for integrated wind-wave-solar energy systems.

In addition, teams from Guangzhou Ocean University and the Shenzhen Municipal Government visited the booth to learn about Hann-Ocean’s progress in equipment localization, industrialization, and pilot applications, recognizing the company’s contributions to advancing marine renewable energy.

Tangible Results: Strong Recognition and Broad Cooperation

Over the three days, Hann-Ocean Energy Technology’s booth welcomed nearly one hundred professional visitors from research institutes, state-owned enterprises, design institutes, and international partners.

Many expressed high appreciation for Hann-Ocean’s achievements in wave-energy conversion and modular floating-platform engineering, leading to multiple preliminary cooperation intentions.

General Manager Han Lei commented:

“Wave energy is not only a source of clean power but also a foundation for the diversified development of the ocean economy. Hann-Ocean will continue to drive innovation and work hand-in-hand with partners to bring wave-energy technology from research to real-world deployment.”
