As a rapid developing area in Shanghai, Lingang Industrial Zone consists of: a Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Area, International Logistics Park, Comprehensive Industrial Zone, four towns with all the facilities for living and the Sanxin Park. The site is located at the tip of the peninsula between the Yangtze and Qiantang rivers, about 60 kilometers south-east of downtown Shanghai.

Mr. Henry Han and the market representative in China, Mr. David Liu, participated in the mission to investigate the investment conditions and potential manufacturing sites. They attended the 2014 China (Shanghai) International Port Construction and Operation Facilities Exhibition, and an international exhibition on Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion, Renewable Energy and Energy Management.

Furthermore, they attended the 6th Transport Logistic China and paid a visit to the China Pilot Free-Trade Zone (Shanghai), which includes the Yangshan Port and Lingang Development Zone. The China Pilot Free-Trade Zone is located in Shanghai and opened on the 29th of September 2013, which is the first free-trade zone on mainland China. The zone covers an area of 29 km2, integrating four existing bonded zones in the district of Pudong — Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Waigaoqiao Free Trade Logistics Park, Yangshan Free Trade Port Area and Pudong Airport Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.

This trip provided Hann-Ocean a general idea of Lingang’s business potential and future development opportunities in Shanghai.
