Dec 2010: Hann-Ocean Platform successfully assisted HSL Constructors Pte Ltd in launching the Detachable Crane Barge (DCB) comprising 19 units of CPS 40ft pontoons connected with 72 RPC connectors on water at Keppel Pier. This is the biggest floating platform (37m x 18m x 2.4m) ever built under Hann-Ocean Platforms' manufacturing license. It is also the largest offshore operational Detachable Crane Barge certified by International Ship Class GL.More about DCB
Nov 2010: From 15 to 18 November 2010, Hann-Ocean participated in the ISLCT2010 held in Korea to catch the visitors' attention with its innovative and unique clean energy products. Being an invited speaker, Henry Han gave two presentations on DRAKOO and HEXIFLOAT. The later was given the Best Paper Award.More about ISLCT
Nov 2010: From 2 to 4 November 2010 the RenewableUK Annual Conference and Exhibition took place in Glasgow, UK. Since Hann-Ocean has recently become active in the renewable energy sector, we took the opportunity to be one of the more than 4,200 people and 300 exhibitors. The feedback we received during the exhibition was overwhelming and reassured us that we are on the right track. More about Renewable UK
Sep 2010: A series of wave tank tests for a full-working 1:2 scaled model of DRAKOO II was completed successfully in Nanyang Technological University. This model is the second revision of the DRAKOO design, which has been proven to achieve up to 71% efficiency as per the test result for converting wave energy to water jet. The resultant water jet drives an impeller-type turbine connected to a DC alternator to generate electricity. The total system is proven efficient and the performance
spectrum
(i.e.
efficiency vs. wave period) has been established. A sea trial of the model in Singapore water will be carried out in Oct 2010.More about DRAKOO
Aug 2010: A novel design concept of Modular Floating System for Solar, Wind, Wave and Tidal Energy Devices was developed successfully by Hann-Ocean, namely “Hexifloat(Patent Reference: US 61/344564). Hexifloat is a groundbreaking “all-in-onefloating renewable energy platform that integrates Solar, Wind, Wave and Tidal Energy Devices within a single structure, thereby creating significant cost savings by maximizing the electrical output on a per square metre basis. Hexifloat is
scalable, strong, durable
and flexible. It can be easily assembled, transported and stored. The design is environment friendly.More about Hexifloat
