The Founder
Mr. Henry Han is the founder of Hann-Ocean Technology and also the inventor of Han's Fender Connector (Patent No.: 109504, 10/527,901) and Han's Frictional Locking Connector (Patent No.PCT/SG2006/000008) resolving the major challenges faced in the joining of large floating platforms in rough sea.
Mr. Han started his career as a Naval Architect in Marine Design & Research Institute of China after his graduation from South China University of Technology in 1986, where he obtained his B.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering with first class honors. In 1992, he arrived in Singapore and worked at Conan Wu & Associates – a naval architecture firm. Beginning in 1994, Mr. Han dedicated 11 years of his career to the Defense Science & Technology Agency (DSTA), rising from Senior Engineer to Project Manager. During his time with DSTA, Mr. Han provided technical advice for marine platform designs and led in a lot of naval project management. His capability and personal involvement in the numerous innovative designs has led to numerous awards and commendations.
Led by Mr. Han, the strong R&D capability of Hann-Ocean Technology has attracted that likes of Defense Science & Technology Agency (DSTA, Singapore), Singapore Technology Kinetics, Singapore Technology Electronics, JTC, NUS, Mason Industries, Offshore Construction Services and Sekai Marine in Singapore and Ocean Space Inc. from Korea to forge strong partnerships with the company.
